What about knee pains, injuries from bassdrum practise? I spent the last months and years... with soo much kick practise but never get any better. I end up engaging with raw muscle only, because technique does not make any improvements. Especially ankle motion. Its so frustrating I want to destroy my pedals + kickdrum Lol

I'm late to the party but this is possible one of my favorite videos. Your technique is the only one can do comfortably and confidently but have been struggling with hertas and changing speeds. I noticed a lot of times you play pretty consistent bass patterns, but here you are mixing it up effortlessly.

Acoustic for me. Ive used triggers before due to the velocity difference when playing fast. But, when the acoustic kick is miked it can be EQ'd and compressed to get alot of attack and made to sound like a trigger.
